mystery solved, there is a god

There is a god and he/she/it loves me.

the last few days i've been moaning and groaning about my flat bicycle tire. yesterday i bought a new inner tube(self sealing top of the line) and it went flat after 30 minutes. i returned it and got my money back. (it never hurts to try) i think the tube was fine but my rim or tire destroyed it so i was happy that they gave my money back.

i was in a pickle. buy a new rim or scrap the bike because i could probably buy a used bike for the price of new rim and tire. i was going to try a pawn shop that has mountains of bike parts.

as i was on the can route this morning i headed down a path and there was a bicylce rim complete with a choice inflated tire right before my eyes. now i didn't fall off the turnip truck yesteday so i scooped it up and headed home. luckily the science officer was home so he took my photo with the new tire to preserve the moment for future generations. the moment old leo truly had his faith rewarded and god gave him a sign. the new wheel is on top in the photo with the junker on the bottom.

when i went to put new wheel on it was too wide for my old forks. i thought about it for a nano second and went to the trusty corollla. i got the jack out of the trunk and placed it between the end of the bicycle forks and gave it a few turns. the forks spread and bobs your uncle. the new wheel fit like a glove.

now my only problem is which god gave it to me. i like to cover all the bases and have tributes to most of the major gods in the house. i'm leaning towards shiva because the gold shiva pendant was the most recent religious addition to my collection.

so, lord shiva, destroyer of worlds, loves me.

so i got that going for me too, which is uber nice!!

I think the tire was being mistreated by it's owner and decided to run away and find a new home.
